Weekly Alignment Practice classes in Redbourn, Hertfordshire
What is The Alignment Practice?
The Alignment Practice (TAP) is a 75 minute class in Redbourn, Hertfordshire, led by Ali Scott - Integrative Therapist, Breathwork & Meditation Facilitator, and Dan Levick - Personal Trainer, Rehab Specialist and Ropeflow Expert.
TAP is a chance to tone your nervous system, strengthen your muscles, learn some amazing new skills, gain insights that you will take away into your daily life, have fun, and come home to your body.
This class is for you if:
You have a busy mind and want to recalibrate your nervous system
You want to build physical strength in a way that really works
You feel disconnected from your body
You want real results: strength, calm, and clarity
Interoception - at the heart of TAP
Interoception is the ability to feel what’s happening inside you, and is the thread that runs through everything we do in The Alignment Practice.
It’s the sense of whats happening inside your body - heartbeat, breath, muscle tension, feelings, emotions, and the subtle sense of stress or calm. It’s often called the body’s “sixth sense”, distinct from the other five as it’s how we pick up our inside world, not the outside.
The Alignment Practice trains interoception from several different angles, helping you tune into internal signals that most people tune out all day, day after day.

Nervous system regulation is the body's ability to move fluidly between states of activation and rest - to respond to stress when needed, and return to calm afterwards. Many of us, through chronic stress or modern life's relentless pace, get stuck in over-activation (anxiety, reactivity, tension) or under-activation (numbness, fatigue, disconnection). Practices like breathwork, somatic movement, and vagal toning help restore that natural flexibility.
-
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice that leads you into a deeply relaxed state between waking and sleep. It's profoundly restorative, shown to reduce cortisol and activate the parasympathetic nervous system, and often described as feeling more restful than sleep itself. It's one of the most powerful tools for nervous system recovery, and it’s one of the rotating features in The Alignment Practice.

Isometric exercises are strength training movements where muscles contract and generate force without any visible joint movement or change in muscle length. Unlike traditional exercises like squats or biceps curls, isometric exercises involve holding a static position - such as an interactive plank, wall sit or pushing against an immovable object like a strap or wall - making them an effective, low-impact way to build strength and stability.
-
Interoception is your ability to sense what's happening inside your own body - to notice feelings like hunger, tension, emotion, or fatigue before they become overwhelming. Many people, especially those who have been under chronic stress, lose connection with these signals. Developing interoceptive awareness is one of the most powerful things you can do for your overall wellbeing.
-
None at all. The class is designed to be accessible to everyone, and all exercises can be adapted to your level. Whether you've never tried breathwork or isometrics before, or you come with years of practice, you'll be met where you are.
